Here is a classic example of how the use of the right size of technology and the right business model can turn a business around, even for a small broker.

Subramanium was a relatively small retail broker in India, providing NSE equity trading services to a client base of about 1000 investors.  He had no infrastructure or system to provide internet access to his investors and was servicing all his clients at two branches in the city of Chennai.  With the trading volumes soaring and the markets constantly rallying, Subramanium realized that he was at a dire risk of losing his clientele to larger brokerages offering more products/markets and providing internet access to their clients.  Subramanium was faced with two major problems in expanding his business,
